Days here go like this

Weligama harbour from the balcony

The sea, across the road

Weligama Bay is right there. Sea turtles included, if you're lucky. Ask nicely and we'll tell you about a secret beach.

Sunset surf in Weligama

Learn to surf

Weligama is Asia's friendliest bay for your first wave — and there are point breaks nearby when you're ready.

Fresh coconuts on the beach

Explore the coast

Galle Fort, tea and cinnamon country, safaris, spas — we're in the middle of all of it.

Guests together before dinner

Social dinners

Each night we host dinner at a different local restaurant — the whole house, one table, somewhere new.

Ceremony in the shala

Workshops & ceremonies

Sound healing, cacao ceremonies, and more throughout the season — ask what's on when you're here.

The garden

A lawn, a view, and nowhere to be

The house sits in a big tropical garden — hammocks under the mango tree, a slackline between the palms, and a lawn that runs to the fence with the whole bay beyond it. The ocean is just across the road; the fishing boats are your view from the balcony.

Breakfast

Worth waking up for

Cooked fresh every morning and served after practice at the long table: house-made granola and chia pots, warm bread with jams and spreads, big colourful bowls, pancakes on the good days — a menu that changes daily, with local fruit and proper coffee.

"A perfect week of yoga and relaxation! I loved every moment at Basecamp. The people are wonderful, the breakfasts are incredible (I need those recipes!) and the location with views of the boats is stunning. The evening activities were great, and as a solo traveller, it was lovely connecting with others. I'll definitely be back!"

"Originally only coming for a shorter retreat I ended up staying 5 whole weeks… The yoga teachers were very good: knowledgeable, supportive and thoughtful in their approach. We had a great time with various evening activities like sound healing, family dinners, and ecstatic dance. Overall, a really well-run place with a great team and a special atmosphere."
